                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING ALLEYS
                   LOCATED NORTHWEST FROM NORTH GERMANTOWN ROAD,
                   SOUTHWEST OF MAY STREET, MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and are hereby
         closed and abandoned alleys located northwest from North
         Germantown Road, southwest of May Street, more particularly
         described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made 
a
         part hereof by reference:
               
                A 15 foot wide alleyway beginning on the northwest
                line of North Germantown Road 450 feet southwest of
                the intersection of the northwest line of North
                Germantown Road with the southwest line of May
                Street, thence southwest 15 feet with North
                Germantown Road, thence northwest some 214 feet to
                the northwest line of a 10 foot alley (if
                extended), thence northeast 15 feet with the
                extension of said 10 foot alley to the southeast
                corner of lot 22, block 11, Arcadia Land Company's
                Addition to Chattanooga, as shown by plat of record
                in plat book 6, page 23, R.O.H.C., thence southeast
                10 feet to the southwest corner of lot 23, block
                11, said subdivision, thence continuing southeast
                203 feet with the southwest line of said lot 23 and
                the northeast line of the 15 foot alleyway to the
                northwest line of North Germantown Road, the point
                of beginning.  Said alleyway separates said lot 23,
                Arcadia Land Company's Addition, from an unplatted
                tract.
               
                A 10 foot wide alleyway beginning on the northeast
                line of the above described 15 foot alleyway 203
                feet northwest of the intersection of the northeast
                line of said 15 foot alleyway with the northwest
                line of North Germantown Road, and extending
                northeast 50 feet between parallel lines to the
                northeast line (if extended) of lot 23, block 11,
                Arcadia Land Company's Addition to Chattanooga, as
                shown by plat of record in plat book 6, page 23,
                R.O.H.C.  Said alleyway separates lot 22, block 11,
                from lot 23, block 11, said Arcadia Land Company's
                Addition.
               
               
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this
         Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its 
passage
         as provided by law.
